How many kills for each drop? (KC milestones)

Every kill is an independent roll with no pity timer, so your chance of having a drop by a given kill count is 1 − (1 − rate)kc. Here's when you cross the 50%, 90% and 99% marks — handy for checking how dry you are:

Requirements & how to reach the Maggot King

The Maggot King is a solo, instanced boss in Vampyrium, unlocked by completing the quest The Blood Moon Rises. At combat level 741, it is the most mature and strongest form of the ur-maggot. Each fight is instanced, so you take on the boss one-on-one and interact with its corpse afterwards to claim loot.

Take-eggs vs open-stomach

When the Maggot King dies it leaves a corpse with two choices. Open-stomach rolls the normal drop table shown above — this is the standard way to farm loot. Take-eggs forfeits most of the normal loot in exchange for one of six maggot eggs and a boosted chance at the Maggot marquess pet. The two are mutually exclusive per kill, so this simulator models the standard open-stomach loot path.

Where do these drop rates come from?

Straight from the OSRS Wiki drop table — the same source every boss on this simulator uses. Nothing is made up.
